I saw a Hampton Bay Glendale on a 3-speed wall control, and the light and the fan are on the same hot wire. And the fan has a bad start/run capacitor and a bad low speed capacitor. So for it to run the fastest, the fan chain has to be set to high, light chain has to be set to off, and the wall control has to be on medium. So yeah it reminded me of this fan, because the light has to be off for the fan to spin the fastest.
